EngineCode.uk is owned and operated by Engine Finders UK Ltd, company number 13157944, registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 113 Park Road, Ilford, England, IG1 1SQ.
EngineCode.uk is commercially connected with its owner, Engine Finders UK Ltd. It is not commercially independent of its owner and is not a wholly non-commercial project.
Why the site includes an enquiry service
Our reference material helps people research engine codes and recorded vehicle applications. Some readers also need a replacement engine. We offer an optional enquiry route through Engine Finders for that purpose.
You can read the reference material without sending an enquiry. Submitting an enquiry is free and does not oblige you to buy. It is a commercial referral/enquiry service, not a guarantee of diagnosis, availability, suitability or the lowest price.
The enquiry service is intended for vehicles in the United Kingdom, with UK delivery or fitting, and connects you with engine suppliers in the UK.
How an enquiry works
You can enter vehicle details manually or use the available registration lookup. You then review the information and choose whether to send an enquiry. A lookup alone does not send an enquiry to suppliers under this journey.
On submission, relevant participating suppliers receive the information needed to respond. More than one supplier may contact you. The service does not include every supplier in the market. Check the identity, offer and terms of the supplier before entering a purchase or fitting agreement.

Links to connected businesses
Where we link to a business connected with us because its service is relevant, the link or nearby wording should make that relationship clear. We do not present a connected business as an independent editorial recommendation merely because it operates under a different website name.
A link to a manufacturer, government source or technical reference does not mean that organisation endorses EngineCode or our commercial services. If we introduce paid or sponsored placements, we will identify them clearly.
Technical information and enquiries
